We are just finishing up another school year. Musa and Adam finishing up 11th grade - preparing for their last year of school next year. Musa turned 18 years old and is living in San Mateo in a group home. The other 5 boys live at home - Adam is 17, Ibrahim nearly 15, Sorie 14, Coleman about to turn 13 and Zeke is 11 (turning 12 in November). Zeke is preparing to go into 6th grade (middle school) and Sorie is preparing to go to highschool in 9th grade.
Coleman had a great 6th grade with social activities high on his radar at school. He has a fabulous teacher and hates it when school is out. He played CYO and Cunha basketball this year which was fun for him.
Ibrahim had a good year in his first year at highschool in 9th grade coming out of the year with some great grades. Adam and IBrahim played basketball at highschool with Sorie playing CYO and Cunha basketball as well as taking on Track and Field.
Zeke had a good year at El Granada in 5th grade with a wonderful teacher called Laurie McMahon who is one of the most dedicated teachers I have met. She has adopted our family and interacts with the boys outside of school - so the good thing is we won't 'miss her' when Zeke leaves. We have enjoyed El Granada school enormously over the years, and I am glad I ended up switching all the boys up there.
We have had some various illnesses during the year and a trip to the ER for Adam with his infected head.
We lost one cat this year - she was old and sickly. Still have the other two cats (mother and daughter), Cody the dog and Spike the bearded dragon.
