Dawn is truly a Godsend. She joined our family at the beginning of 2006 - initially as a temporary nanny, but here she is still 6 years later - and we are so glad she ended up being a permanent part of our family. I was between some Au Pairs that didn't work out well (after Gunther and Christian I was spoiled and the ones coming after didn't measure up at all), and so found Dawn on a nanny website and suggested that while she looked for a permanent job she look after Musa, Ibrahim and Sorie temporarily.
She agreed and I loved her no nonsense, organized and practical approach, and the kids loved her too! Of course two months later I had to break the news to her that Adam and Coleman were suddenly arriving (they were scheduled for later in the year). Dawn took it all in stride as she typically does. Of course, another year or so later, I brought Zeke home and so Dawn started her tenure with three boys and ended up still here 6 years later with 6 boys under her care.
Dawn has organized our household beautifully, has a great relationship with the boys and is a constant source of good advice. Her mother has also been a great help to the boys at school, and her husband Josh has fixed many things around the house and hung out with the boys sometimes also. We love him too!
